Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of OphthaPrep ("the Service", "we", "us"), a service operated by Rohan Misra, trading as "OphthaPrep", a sole trader established in the United Kingdom. You can contact us at support@ophthaprep.co.uk, or by post at 124 City Road, London, EC1V 2NX. By creating an account or purchasing access you agree to these terms.

1. The Service

OphthaPrep provides interview-preparation material for UK Ophthalmology Specialty Training, including a curated case bank, mark schemes, actor briefs and an AI case generator. Content is for educational and interview-practice purposes only and is not clinical guidance (see our Medical Disclaimer).

2. Accounts

• You must provide an accurate email address and keep your password secure.
• You must be a real individual; accounts are personal to you.
• You are responsible for all activity under your account.

3. Single-user access — no sharing

Access is licensed to one individual for personal use. Accounts are limited to one active device/session at a time; signing in elsewhere signs out other sessions. Sharing login details, or using one account for multiple people, is a breach of these terms and may result in suspension or termination without refund.

4. Payment and access

Access is sold as a one-off payment for a fixed period (1, 3 or 6 months) and does not auto-renew. Payments are processed by Stripe; we do not store your card details. Prices are in GBP and shown at checkout. Purchasing again before expiry extends your access. Refunds are governed by our Refund & Cancellation Policy.

5. Acceptable use

• Do not copy, redistribute, resell or publish our content.
• Do not attempt to scrape, reverse-engineer, or bulk-export the case bank.
• Do not misuse the AI generator (for example to produce unlawful or abusive content).
• Do not attempt to circumvent access controls or the single-session limit.

6. Intellectual property

All content on OphthaPrep is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual property law. Your purchase grants a limited, personal, non-transferable licence to access and use the content for your own interview preparation only.

7. AI-generated content

The generator uses a third-party AI model. Generated cases are produced automatically, are not individually reviewed, and may contain inaccuracies. You use them at your own discretion and must not rely on them for clinical purposes.

8. Availability

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may update, suspend or withdraw features, and may carry out maintenance.

9. Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for any interview, examination or career outcome. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under law (including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud). Our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

10. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these terms. Where we terminate for your breach (such as account sharing), no refund is due.

11. Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "last updated" date, and continued use constitutes acceptance.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
